羅伊·布勞威爾,現任滑鐵盧大學(xué)水研究所執行主任兼經(jīng)濟系教授,擁有荷蘭瓦赫寧根農業(yè)大學(xué)農業(yè)經(jīng)濟學(xué)碩士學(xué)位和英國東安格利亞大學(xué)環(huán)境經(jīng)濟學(xué)博士學(xué)位。他是愛(ài)思唯爾期刊《Water Resources & Economics》創(chuàng )始主編,并曾于2016年加入滑鐵盧大學(xué)前擔任阿姆斯特丹自由大學(xué)環(huán)境經(jīng)濟系主任,現仍任該校兼職教授。自2018年起,他擔任滑鐵盧大學(xué)水資源經(jīng)濟學(xué)研究講席教授,2021年獲滑鐵盧大學(xué)文學(xué)院卓越研究獎,并與合著(zhù)者憑借《Resource Recovery from Water: Principles and Application》榮獲2024年國際水協(xié)會(huì )(IWA)最佳科學(xué)圖書(shū)獎。自2025年成為國際聯(lián)合委員會(huì )(IJC)五大湖科學(xué)咨詢(xún)委員會(huì )(SAB)成員,研究聚焦綜合水文經(jīng)濟建模及水資源經(jīng)濟價(jià)值評估與定價(jià),參與全球多個(gè)水項目,獲瑞士聯(lián)邦水產(chǎn)科學(xué)技術(shù)研究所(Eawag)和澳大利亞聯(lián)邦科學(xué)與工業(yè)研究組織(CSIRO)“健康國家水資源計劃”等機構獎學(xué)金,其成果發(fā)表于逾170篇國際同行評審期刊文章,累計被引近20,000次。
Roy Brouwer is the Executive Director of the University of Waterloo’s Water Institute and Professor in the Department of Economics. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Agricultural Economics from the Wageningen Agricultural University in the Netherlands and a Ph.D. degree in Environmental Economics from the University of East Anglia in the UK. He is the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Elsevier journal Water Resources & Economics and Adjunct Professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where he was head of the Department Environmental Economics before joining the University of Waterloo in 2016. Since 2018, Dr. Brouwer holds the University of Waterloo Research Chair in Water Resource Economics. He received the University of Waterloo’s Faculty of Arts Award for Excellence in Research in 2021 and was together with his coauthors recipient of the 2024 International Water Association (IWA) Best Scientific Book Prize for “Resource Recovery from Water: Principles and Application”. Since 2025 he is a member of the International Joint Commission’s (IJC) Science Advisory Board (SAB) for the Great Lakes. His research focuses on integrated hydro-economic modelling and economic valuation and pricing of water. He has worked in water projects around the world, having received fellowship awards from various organizations, such as the Swiss Federal Institute for Aquatic Science and Technology (Eawag) and the Australia Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) under their “Water for a Healthy Country’ program. His work has been published in more than 170 peer reviewed international journal articles that received close to 20,000 citations.
